CHANNEL DISTRICT — An evening of bowling, food, drinks and awards will benefit the prostate cancer research program at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
The event, the second Bowling Ball, will be Feb. 18 at Splitsville in Channelside. The doors will open at 5 p.m. and bowling begins at 6:15 p.m.
Corporate participants can field a team of six bowlers; supporters may attend as “pin heads” to cheer for the teams.
Last year’s inaugural event had 250 bowlers and fans and raised $15,000 for research for the disease. Moffitt recently established the Advanced Prostate Cancer Collaboration along with experts from across the country.
Team sponsorships begin at $1,000; Pin head admission is $75.
For information or sponsorships, call Shaina Sine at (813) 745-3658 or see www.Moffitt.org/giving.
